Board of Directors

Mike is Horizon’s Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors. He also serves as a member of the investment committee of Horizon’s Advisor. Mike has over 35 years of experience in investment and portfolio management and construction.

Mike has been a principal of the Rail-Splitter Micro Cap Rebound Fund since 2023 and an advisor to Wasson Enterprise LLC, a family office, since 2021. He served as Chief Executive Officer of Foresight Acquisition Corp. in 2021. Prior to his position at Foresight, Mike was with William Blair & Co, LLC, a global investment bank and financial services firm, for a combined 30 years. While at William Blair, he was Partner and Co-Manager of the Small-Cap Growth Fund. Mike was also Partner and Chief Investment Officer at Magnetar Investment Management, a wholly owned subsidiary of Magnetar Capital LLC, a multi-strategy hedge fund, from 2005 to 2008. Mike is a strategic advisor to P3 Health Partners Inc. (Nasdaq: PIII) (formerly Foresight Acquisition Corp.), OptimizeRX Corporation (Nasdaq: OPRX), and Innventure, Inc. (Nasdaq: INV), the Chairman of Good Sports, a non-profit charity, and Chairman of Performance Health Systems, LLC, a fitness and health company. He previously served as a director of Innventure, Inc. until October 2024. Mike has served as an advisor and director to several other public and private companies. Mike earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern University.

Tom serves as a Lead Independent Director of our Board of Directors. Tom has been a principal of Thomas J. Allison & Associates, a senior management services firm, since 2013, and has served as a Senior Advisor with Arete Capital Partners, a fiduciary and advisory firm, since 2025.

Tom has significant public and private company board experience, including more than a decade on the Board of Directors of Monroe Capital Corporation, where he also served as Audit Committee Chair. He currently serves on several corporate and advisory boards. Earlier, Tom was a Senior Advisor of Portage Point Partners, an interim management and business advisory firm, and served as Executive Vice President and Senior Managing Director of Mesirow Financial Consulting and served in interim leadership roles for select clients. Tom was a Managing Partner with Arthur Andersen, LLC and held senior leadership positions with Coopers & Lybrand. Tom earned a Bachelor of Science in Commerce and a Master of Business Administration from DePaul University.

Jonathan serves as an independent member of our Board of Directors and also serves as a member of the Audit Committee. Jonathan founded and has been a Managing Director of Qiviut Capital LP, a private investment firm, since June 2018.

Prior to founding Qiviut Capital LP, Jonathan was at Bain Capital, LP, a private investment firm, joining the firm in 1995 as an analyst and retiring in 2015 as a Managing Director. While at Bain Capital, he co-founded and co-managed Bain Capital’s Absolute Return Capital, a systematic global macro hedge fund, from 2004-2015. Prior to that, Jonathan was a Principal in the Private Equity area of Bain Capital, investing as a generalist in companies across numerous industries. Prior to Bain, he was employed by Monitor Company from 1993-1995. Jonathan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Cornell University and a Master of Business Administration from Harvard University.

Kim serves as an independent member of our Board of Directors and is Chairperson of the Audit committee. She has more than 35 years of experience in public accounting, having worked at PwC and Grant Thornton, where she held various leadership roles, including audit partner, SEC partner, and Office Managing Partner. She has deep expertise in SEC reporting, risk management, internal controls and valuation of investments. Throughout her career, Kim has collaborated with audit committees, boards and executive leadership teams.

Through her service on both public and private company boards, Kim has helped strengthen governance during transactions, succession planning, restructuring efforts, and strategic and operational changes. She has received a National Association of Corporate Directors Board Certification. Kim earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.
