Rob co-founded Horizon Technology Finance Corporation and currently serves as its Chairman of the Board of Directors. Rob co-founded our Advisor in 2003 and was its Chief Executive Officer and member of its investment committee until he retired in June 2025, while also serving as Chairman of the Board. Rob has over 40 years of diversified lending and leasing experience including more than 20 years in venture lending. 

Earlier, Rob was President of GATX Ventures, Inc., the venture lending subsidiary of GATX Corporation. Prior to that, Rob was Executive Vice President of Transamerica Business Credit, where he co-founded and was general manager of Transamerica Technology Finance, its venture lending business. Rob’s experience also includes roles as Senior Vice President of Financing for Science International, Inc., a publicly traded venture financing and healthcare leasing company, and Crocker Bank. Rob earned both a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California at Berkeley.
